The clouds are rolling in
I know a storm is brewin'
The rage of the skies
Is reflected in my eyes
The simplicity of a sunny day
Now replaced by something much more angry
The rain just starts pouring down
Sliding down my face as my tears drown
There's nothing around for miles
I can scream loud with out the faceless smiles
Lightning strikes so close to the soul
Reminiscent of power, but so cold

I want to see the stars shine
See the sunshine on the horizon line
I want to touch dry sand
Feel the moonlight dance on my hand
Take me in from the rain
Take me away from the pain

Lying down in the pouring rain
Nothing ever feels the same
Vulnerable as the water falls
Innocent as the thunder rolls
Water rises higher and higher
As confusion in me sinks deeper
Sky as dark as I am inside
Everyday  is the same night sky
Close my eyes, make believe
I won't feel if I can't see
Calm me down, calm me down
As the rain falls steadily all around
